Water Footprint – Soy Drink 3763 litres

Water Footpint – Cow's Milk 1020 litres

Water-Footprint: Green, Blue, Grey, Total

Cow's milk: 863, 86, 72, 1020
Soy so-called “milk”: 3574, 123, 65, 3763

Vegans could save 3763 - 102 2743 litres of water by drinking a litre of Cow’s Milk, instead of a litre of Soy Drink.

Even some fruit juices have Water Footprints, just as high, or higher, than Cow's milk.

Orange juice: 729, 199, 90, 1018
Cow's milk: 863, 86, 72, 1020
Apple juice: 780, 185, 176, 1141
Pineapple juice: 1075, 45, 153, 1273

For grey water used to dilute pollutants to acceptable levels.

72 litres per litre of milk.
89 for fruit;
184 for cereals;
734 for pulses [pea and beans];
680 for nuts.
